CARE & MAINTENANCE
MINERVA WORKTOPS
Minerva worktops are solid, non-porous, and easy to maintain. For daily cleaning, use warm soapy water or a mild detergent with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals, as they can damage the surface. For stubborn stains, a non-abrasive cream cleaner applied with a damp microfiber cloth is effective. Minerva is heat resistant but not heatproof—always use heat-resistant mats for hot pans, slow cookers, and air fryers. Direct heat exposure can cause damage or discoloration. If minor scratches or marks occur, they can be removed by gently sanding with P240-P500 grit sandpaper and finishing with a grey abrasive pad. To maintain its appearance, avoid cutting directly on the surface; always use a chopping board. Spills should be wiped immediately to prevent potential staining, especially with strong pigments like red wine, coffee, or curry. With proper care, Minerva surfaces will maintain their original look and durability for years.
MINERVA BATHROOM & WALL PANELS
Minerva bathroom panels are waterproof, hygienic, and require minimal maintenance. Regular cleaning with warm soapy water or a pH-neutral bathroom cleaner will help maintain their appearance. Avoid abrasive scouring pads and strong chemicals like bleach, as they may dull or damage the surface. For limescale buildup, a diluted white vinegar solution applied with a soft cloth can be effective, but rinse thoroughly after use. To prevent water damage, ensure panel joints and edges are sealed properly, and do not leave standing water on the surface for prolonged periods. Avoid placing hot objects like straighteners directly on the panels. For light scratches, a gentle sanding with P500 grit sandpaper followed by a grey abrasive pad can restore the surface. When cleaning shower areas, use a soft cloth rather than rough sponges to prevent micro-scratches. With proper care, Minerva bathroom panels will remain pristine and resistant to moisture and stains.
METIS WORKTOPS
Metis worktops are highly durable, solid surfaces designed for both aesthetic appeal and practicality. Daily cleaning with warm soapy water or a pH-neutral cleaner will keep them looking their best. Avoid strong acids, solvents, or harsh abrasives that may damage the finish. Though Metis surfaces are heat-resistant, they are not heatproof—always use trivets for hot pots, pans, or appliances like slow cookers and air fryers. Prolonged heat exposure can cause damage or discoloration. Scratches and scuffs can occur with use but can be repaired by sanding lightly with P240-P500 grit sandpaper, finishing with a grey abrasive pad. Cutting directly on the surface is not recommended; always use a chopping board to prevent deep cuts.
All sinks and taps have been manufactured to ensure many years of trouble free use. We recommend washing, rinsing and drying your sink after each use, weekly cleaning with a specific sink cleaner is also recommended.
Stainless steel sinks
Bleach/chlorides, these are found in almost all cleaning solutions and detergents and if left on your sink for long periods can be damaging. Please avoid prolong contact of these substances as they can attack the surface of your sink and can cause damage. Please ensure substances such as these are thoroughly rinsed from the sink surface and flushed through pipework after use. Always wipe the sink down after rinsing and apply a stainless steel cleaning substance on a weekly basis.
Scratching, like most metallic surfaces your stainless steel sink will scratch. Don’t worry these are simply usage marks and will eventually blend into the overall finish of the sink. Hard water areas as susceptible to lime scale deposits, these can be reduced by cleaning the sink thoroughly after every use, a solution of 3 parts hot water to 1 part white vinegar can be used to help remove any deposits, please remember to rinse and dry your sink thoroughly after applying this method. Only ever use a cloth to apply any cleaning solution, never use an abrasive pad.
Granite sinks
Bleach/chlorides, these are found in almost all cleaning solutions and detergents and if left on your sink for long periods can be damaging. Please avoid prolong contact of these substances as they can attack the surface of your sink and can cause damage. Please ensure substances such as these are thoroughly rinsed from the sink surface and flushed through pipework immediately after use. Always wipe the sink down after rinsing and apply a granite sink cleaning liquid to the surface of the sink on a weekly basis, remembering to fully rinse and dry your sink thoroughly.
Hard water areas are susceptible to lime scale deposits, these can be reduced by cleaning the sink thoroughly after every use, a diluted bleach solution can be used to help remove any deposits, please remember to rinse and dry your sink thoroughly after applying this method as any remaining bleach solution could damage your sink surface irreplaceably.
Taps
All taps should be simply cleaned with warm soapy water and a cloth, do not use abrasive powders or scouring pads as they can have an adverse to the surface finish of the tap. Lime scale again can have an adverse effect to the workings of your tap, should the nozzle become clogged we recommend cleaning the nozzle with a toothbrush or similar implement in order to “brush” away lime scale deposits, periodic removal of the nozzle and soaking in a diluted white vinegar solution can also prolong the life of your tap. Your tap features state-of-the-art technology, debris, grit and contaminants within the water system should be flushed through the system prior to the installation and commissioning of your tap to ensure they do not come into contact or damage/clog the valves within the tap.
